These assisted living and dementia care services are available to the general public. However, Varenna residents have first priority to reserve an available apartment.  As a Varenna resident, if you or your spouse should need these services, it is good to know they are close by and operated by a leader in the assisted living industry.  You would also have the option to move as a couple to Villa Capri, even though one of you may not require assisted living services.

We also offer a short term stay program, with access to all the services and amenities offered to our Villa Capri residents.

Personal choice dining Our dining room is open for three meals daily. It features entrée choices ranging from home cooked traditional foods, nutritionally healthy choices, and our Chef’s own creations to old favorites. Beverages and snacks are available throughout the day in our Café.

24-hour staffing Áegis staff is available to respond to resident needs 24 hours per day.

Full-time nurse Our Health Services Director is part of the team that is dedicated to the health issues of our residents.
Emergency communication system Wireless call buttons are strategically placed in each apartment. Pendants are available.

Group and individualized activities Individual life histories, hobbies, and special interests are incorporated into our activity program that includes entertainment, outings, arts and crafts, games and more.

Scheduled transportation An Áegis vehicle provides scheduled transportation.

Weekly housekeeping and laundry Each apartment is thoroughly cleaned weekly. Laundry service includes linens, towels, and personal clothing.

Utilities Each apartment features individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Access to cable television and phone hook-ups are available in each apartment. Residents are responsible for premium cable and monthly phone charges.

Life’s Neighborhood services Care services and medication management are additional and based on an individualized assessment. These services are assessed on a point system so residents only pay for what they specifically need. Incontinence supplies are also available at an additional charge.

Secured courtyard Walking paths with benches, gliders and shaded areas offer comfortable “way stations”.

Specialized activity program Residents with cognitive impairment do not always react to regular activities in the usual ay, so we create programs just for them. Life skill stations have been designed to provide residents with activities from earlier times in their lives.

24-hour trained staff Áegis Assisted Living has one of the highest staffing ratios in the senior housing industry.

3 meals per day, plus snacks Menus, plus portable snacks, have been specifically designed for the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s. Water coolers are strategically placed through the Neighborhood to encourage fluid intake.
